Welcome Mrs. Stanton’s 9th Grade English Class (Block A6)!

Today you will participate in an orientation and a tour of the library. You will also listen to a book talk featuring a sampling of award winning books.

Learning Targets:

I can:

  1. Name 4 services that the library can provide me.
  2. Use the library online catalog to locate books and materials (via the library blog’s QR code or web site).
  3. Access the library’s blog for class assignments, databases, research pathfinders, and writing instruction guidelines.
  4. Select and checkout a book from one of the following award categories:
  • Alex Award
  • Best Fiction for Young Adults
  • Best Non-Fiction for Young Adults
  • Michael Printz Award
  • National Book Award
  • Stonewall Book Award
